Craft Club Brings UK Reef to Colchester

The UK Reef is having another outing to celebrate the launch of our new website initiative, Craft Club! The ever expanding crochet coral reef will be on display for a month at Firstsite in Colchester. They will be installing the UK Reef this Thursday and Friday between 10am and 4pm if you have time to help. The Reef will be on display for the whole of January so there is plenty of time for you to make more and drop off your contributions to the Firstsite gallery. Keep an eye out for news of workshops on the www.firstsite.uk.net website.

There are no confirmed plans for the UK Reef's next outing. As soon as we have any information about the UK Reef we will, of course, post it here for all of the Craft Clubbers to see. I went to a talk at Firstsite last night where David Smith talked about the Coral Reef research his is doing at Essex University. Then we did some great crochet. The UK Reef is getting bigger and growing exponentially. Come and join in, it's addictive!
