Knitting and pom pom making

We had a great class on friday finger knitting, knitting with needles and pom pom making. With 14 in the class, Alex and I were amazed how well it went! The secret seemed to be having pom pom making available and going round one by one either introducing finger knitting (which they got the hang of immediately) or needle knitting. We had a couple of girls who had done a little bit of knitting before and once we had caste on for them they were off! We are making teddy scarves for our summer fair (only 7 stitches x 40cm long) with a pom pom on each end. They are also busy making lots of other things - some of the ideas we have already loaded onto the gallery! We are going to decorate our stall with the finger knitting too. We'll post a pic!
