Last week of Wet Felted Bunting!
Claire Hoey 02/03/11
This week at Craft Club in Bamford we finished the last of the bunting. All the year 3s and 4s have now made a set of bunting for their bedrooms. They have abolsutely loved it. The year 5s and 6s will get their go at wet felting in the Summer when we are going to do a large landscape - hopefully the weather will be nice enough to work on it in the outdoor classroom and to take inspiration from the views around us. Next week we are going to start work on making things to sell at our first Craft Club stall. The children are organising the stall to have at the school Spring Fair. They are making, displaying and pricing all the items themselves and will then man the stall. The plan is to raise funds for more craft club projects like the felting that we have been able to do thanks to the money raised by our sponsored knit. The children are learning a lot of organsiational and planning skills whilst sorting out their stall and I am sure there will be plenty of maths practise when they start selling! We are all still loving the afternoon craft club both children and adult helpers alike. Claire
