At Easter the infants all made chicks using our new pom pom makers that we got for our knitting boxes. When they came back after Easter their class topic was Birds. One of the Year 1s suggested that they could make pom pom birds other than just chicks. His idea was to look a particular bird up in a book and look at what colours made that bird up and then make your pom pom accordingly. We had wonderful results and everyone had so much fun and we learnt a lot about different birds and how to use reference books. We even had a flamingo - see if you can spot it!
