New Training dates announcedRecycled Rainforest Project, Lindens Primary School. © Lindsay Chalford-Brown, 2009.

We are pleased to announce new training days that will be open to all! Taking place

in various locations across the country, these free events for competent knitters and craftspeople will help you set up clubs and potentially help others to as well.  Be prepared to be inspired, gain insight, and learn about passing it on in schools, museums, galleries, and libraries.

The training days are offered to anyone with a passion for sharing their yarn skills, so don't worry about your level of skill. We'll provide you with all the assistance you need to set up your own Craft Club!

Please note: If an event is fully booked please add your name to the waiting list so that we can gauge interest in adding an additional date and cascade training. Training days are updated on a regular basis so keep checking back for additional dates!

What's in it for me?

Working directly with volunteer organizations, such as the National Federation of Women’s Institutes (NFWI) we help skilled volunteers make the transition to working in schools by employing experienced sector professionals to deliver quality training and support. Our experts also collaborate on teaching resources and practical ‘tips’ for our website.

So by sharing a little of your time and expertise you can help us get schools crafting once again – jolly nice of you, we think!

Benefits of participating

  • Spend time doing something you love
  • Gain some excellent teaching experience
  • Get others passionate about your favourite craft, using your creativity to inspire great projects
  • Have buckets of fun working with children and young people from your local community

If you are interested in volunteering at the above shows and drop ins, or if you are interested in becoming a trainer, then please contact the Craft Team at knit1@craftclub.org.uk. We look forward to hearing from you...
